Dr. Goytia Barragán was born in Nuevo Laredo and raised in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She moved to Laredo, Texas, where she attended the former Laredo Junior College and Texas A&M International University. After completing her college studies locally, she moved to Boston for medical school.
Dr. Goytia Barragán graduated from Harvard Medical School with a doctorate in medicine and completed her residency in radiation oncology at the University of Texas Health Science Center, MD Anderson Cancer Center, in San Antonio.
Dr. Goytia Barragán has been practicing for more than 10 years and continues to offer radiation treatment to Laredoans and those in surrounding communities exclusively at Laredo Medical Center’s A.R Sanchez Cancer Center.
